Like Irreplaceable, the video for If I Were A Boy cleverly told the story of the song's lyrics. Shot entirely in black-and-white in New York, the video best-showcased Bey's 'Independent Woman' views. The idea of the video was to show, through role-reversal, how women are often treated by their partners. Beyonce explained: "In the beginning of the video, my husband makes me breakfast and he's excited about it, and I kind of don't have time to eat."
