Best Thing I Never Had showcases one of Beyonce's most stunning and memorable outfits, a wedding dress which she described as a "beautiful fantasy." The film switches between footage of Beyonce preparing for her wedding, and flashbacks to her fictional 1998 prom where her date played about. In line with the lyrics, Beyonce happily gets married, confident her ex is the "best things she never had."
