The authorities are now involved.
Azealia Banks has filed an official police report against Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe after the pair allegedly had an altercation at a Beverly Hills hotel.
In a since-deleted Facebook post, the 25-year-old rapper claimed that Crowe “called me a n*gger, choked me, threw me out and spat at me”, during a party in his hotel suite.
However according to TMZ, a number of eyewitnesses have stated that Banks laughed at Crowe’s music and called him and a friend “boring, white men”.
After another woman attempted to defend Crowe, Banks reportedly replied: “You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino sh*t”.
She then allegedly used the n-word a number of times before reaching for a glass and cocking it back.
Crowe then reportedly grabbed her in a bear hug and carried her out of his suite, where security guards then removed her from the grounds.
A spokesperson for Banks has now released an official statement.
“Azealia is tremendously distraught and disheartened,” said her rep.
“She is shell shocked and will speak out on the incident once she has had time to process the brutality and abuse she was unjustly subjected to.”
