50 just got richer!
50 Cent has signed a huge contract extension with Starz, the television network behind popular crime drama ‘Power’.
The rapper, who is the executive producer of Power, has reportedly signed a contract extension with the premium cable network until 2019.
“Continuing my partnership with Starz and Lionsgate is important to me,” 50 told Deadline after signing the extension.
“I have a personal connection to each project I bring to them,” he added. “I’m able to deliver shows that have unique stories that can be told on premium cable television.”
50 Cent has seen Power reach an astonishing average of 9.3 million viewers across all platforms for its fourth season.
This means Power, which is currently filming it’s highly-anticipated season 5, is currently the most-watched original series on Starz.
50 also responded to contract extension announcement on Instagram, writing: “Still think I’m nothing? Ok watch what I do now. I’m just getting started, you know I’m a nightmare for a hater.”
As well as Power, 50 Cent also plans to develop new projects for Starz via his G-Unit Film & Television company.
These new shows include crime and music industry drama ‘Black Mafia Family’ and the super hero-themed ‘Tomorrow, Today’.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent recently released the music video for his new song ‘Still Think I’m Nothing’ alongside frequent collaborator Jeremih.
