As Capital XTRA gear up for Global's Make Some Noise, we take a look at some of the most memorable times hip-hop artists gave their time and money to charity.
In 2013 the story of a man called Stanley Young, who had lost his family home to a father and was struggling to support his eight children, caught Nas' eye. The rapper, who admitted himself that he had "never done something like this" began fundraising online, putting in $10,000 dollars himself, in order to help Stanley get a new home. Thanks to Nas' efforts, $65,000 was raised altogether and Stanley could pick his life up again.
