Ben McBean’s #First Big Poppy Run

Vodafone Firsts is enabling Ben McBean’s #First Big Poppy Run and we want you to get involved.

Young veteran Ben McBean is taking on his very own #First by running the outline of the world's largest poppy in London.



Ben was wounded in his first few days of active service aged just 19, losing his left arm and right leg in Afghanistan. As a result he was discharged from his job as a Royal Marine before he had reached his 20th birthday. 



With the help of the Vodafone network and GPS tracking, Ben is running a 31 mile outline of a giant poppy across London, finishing at the Cenotaph in light of the Remembrance Day.

Together with Vodafone Firsts we want you to join Ben on the Big Poppy Run to help remember all the servicemen who were injured or lost their lives during The First World War.

You can also show your support for the cause with a donation to The Royal British Legion. Text 'POPP58 £5' to '70070' and the Vodafone Foundation will match all donations pound for pound up to £100,000.
