Following X Factor's Fleur East's success with the song.

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars have brought the release date of their new song 'Uptown Funk forward, by an astonishing five weeks.

The song, which was due for a 11th January 2015 release date but instead was released on to iTunes yesterday (8th December) grew popular after X Factor contestant Fleur East performed the track live on last Saturday night's show to a standing ovation.

The East London contestant's rendition of the song was so popular that it went to number one on iTunes, an X Factor first for a contestant that is still participating in the competition.

As of this morning, the official version of the song has overtake Fleur's version on the chart, which now sits at number two.

'Uptown Funk' is the first track to be taken from Ronson's new album 'Uptown Special' due for a January 2015 release.
