Ed covered Bill Wither's classic song 'Ain't No Sunshine'.

Ed Sheeran made an appearance on ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ to perform an acoustic cover of Bill Withers’ ’70s soul classic ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’.

The singer was joined by a live band and fully lived up the original’s soulful intensity.

However Ed recently revealed that he plans to take a much-needed break from the spotlight.

“My plan is to get rid of my iPhone, get rid Internet, get a Nokia 3310, and just go off into the wilderness somewhere for a bit,” he told MTV News.

In a recent tweet, he added that his Rudimental collaboration ‘Lay It All On Me’ would be the “final thing I’m releasing for a while.”

Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Ed Sheeran will co-host the MTV EMA’s alongside Ruby Rose on 25th October.

This year’s awards ceremony will be held in Milan’s Mediolanum Forum, Italy.
