Congrats Cardi!

Cardi B has responded after her single ‘Bodak Yellow’ was nominated for two Grammys at next year’s prestigious awards ceremony.

The rapper, who is set to perform at the 2017 MOBO Awards, was nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance.

Following the announcement, Cardi B stopped by Capital XTRA to express her excitement at being recognised for her chart-stopping single.

“It’s taken me some time to take in,” she told Manny Norte on The Norté Show.

“I’m just happy that I’m even there! I’m going against people like Kendrick Lamar and JAY-Z.”

The rapper then revealed the secret to her outstanding success this year is hard work.

“It’s a lot of hard work,” she said. “But if you want it and the more you keep hearing you can have it, you can just go and get it.”

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar and JAY-Z lead this year’s nominations, following their impressive albums ‘DAMN.’ and ‘4:44’.

Interestingly, Drake chose not to submit his playlist ‘More Life’ for Grammy consideration, so no songs from the project have been nominated.

The 2018 Grammy Awards will take place on 28th January 2018.
