You won't believe the up and coming star Zafi B is just 16-years-old. She has been around for a while but as an actress rather than a singer, appearing in shows such as Doctor Who and Holby City when she was just 11. A graduate from the Sylvia Young Performing Arts School, Zafi B's debut single Number 1 is well worth a listen. London based singer Kwabs is fast becoming a big name in the UK. The 24-year-old's first two EPs 'Wrong or Right' and 'Pray for Love' were released this year and his debut album is due to drop next summer. How does he describe his music? "I think of it as being ultimately soul but it's music that throws back and throws forward. After coming third on the US version of The X Factor in 2012, the five ladies got signed to Simon Cowell's record label and have been soaring ever since. Their debut single 'BO$$' is being played on Capital XTRA, which is a good way to round off the year for the new group.

Makonnen Sheran, better known by his stage name iLoveMakonnen, was the name on everyones lips this year after Drake remixed his song 'Tuesday.' In July 2014, the singer released his self-titled EP ILoveMakonnen and Miley Cyrus shared one of his songs on her Instagram, catapulting him in to the public eye.
