I'm In Love (Ghetto Lab Remix) Joe ft. Darkman
Here's everything you need to know about 'Trap Queen' rising star Fetty Wap, who's making waves around the world.
Following leaked sex tape footage appearing to show Fetty Wap with model Alexis Sky, both parties have legally warned each other to take it down. Fetty Wap's ex-girlfriend Masika Kalysha has since accused her of "wanting to be like Kim Kardashian so bad".
Masika took to Twitter, posting this photo of herself (left) to make the announcement that she was 6 months pregnant with Fetty's baby. However, Fetty took to Twitter not long after to deny the allegations, writing; "Bitches posting pics now the world going crazy. She need a come up I understand that career lookin bad."

Poor Fetty, the number one question that he must get tired of having to answer is 'What happened to your eye?' So let's get this out the way first. "I tell everybody it's nothing, because it's really nothing to me," he told Shade 45's DJ Self. "What happened is, when I was little I had gotten into a little accident and it gave me congenital glaucoma in both of my eyes. The doctor saved one, I was blessed to still have my vision. That's it. That's the story."
"Fetty is money… Wap is from Gucci Mane [nickname] Guwop." As Fetty explains in an interview with Global Grind, 'Fetty' is slang for money and 'Wap' is a tribute to his idol, Alabama rapper Gucci Mane, who is also referred to as Guwop. [Picture credit: Getty]
Fetty was born Willie Maxwell. As he explained in an interview with Global Grind, he was named after his grandfather.
If you’ve been listening to Fetty’s smash-hit “Trap Queen” as many times as we have, you’ll know it opens with the ad-lib “Remy Boyz / 1738”. Fetty’s New Jersey squad are named Remy Boyz 1738 after a premium Rémy Martin cognac. “1738 is the finest liquor in the urban district. If you go to the liquor store and you get a bottle of 1738, it’s going to be the most expensive Remy… And that’s what we are, we’re the finest, we’re the best,” Fetty explained to VladTV.
"Paterson built Fetty Wap as an artist, I just built my name and my brand. But as far as the person Fetty Wap, don't nobody know me better than the people of Paterson," said Fetty of his hometown.
Fetty started making music in 2013. He does come from a musical family: his mother sings and his brother actually wrote his second hit 'My Way'. Fetty is due to drop a self-titled mixtape this year but is holding it back to build anticipation.
In an interview with Hot 97 in November, Fetty said the song was about his current partner. In another interview in March of this year, Fetty revealed that he had split from the girl he wrote the song about after she moved away to go to college.
You might be wondering who the guy that delivers the outro at the end of 'Trap Queen' is. That's Fetty friend NttDaGritt who also runs RGF Productions, the label which Fetty's signed to.
In an interview with The Breakfast Club in September, Fetty revealed that he had only recorded two songs before 'Trap Queen'. He said he didn't like the sound of his normal raps so he started singing the hook to 'Trap Queen' and stuck with it.
Kanye West even invited him to perform with him in New York.
Gucci Mane's 2006 mixtape 'Chicken Talk' is the first mixtape Fetty heard. He says that Gucci resonated with him because: "When he talk about the trap that's all we know. When we wake up in the morning, we hit the block. I just figured out my own way of doing it, I don't rap the trap I sing it in a way that people might not understand what I'm talking about but it sound good."
Fetty's dream of collaborating with his idol was fulfilled when Gucci sent him a remix of 'Trap Queen' featuring a guest verse. "When Guwop came on I lost my mind... I was screaming and running around like 'Oh sh*t, I made it'. That's like your favourite basketball player popping up at your door with a ball and new shoes. You wouldn't know what to do with yourself."
Contrary to his Wikipedia page entry, Fetty has confirmed he isn't Haitian in a Twitter post. He wears the flag as a tribute to his partner's late grandmother, who was Haitian. Fetty also explains in an interview with CivilTV that he "fell in love with the culture, people don't know what Haiti means to me."
Fetty announced in a recent interview that his album had been finished for over two months. Lyor Cohen, the person who signed him to 300 Entertainment, said he delayed the album to allow Fetty to develop as an artist.
