Timbaland has hit out at Lifetime for their recent biopic on Aaliyah titled 'Aaliyah: The Princess Of R&B.'

The producer, who worked on a long list of Aaliyah's discography including most tracks on her 1996 'One In A Million' album, told Hot 97 that he thinks "it wasn't done right."

"For the first time, I think everybody was all in agreeance on everything when it came to Baby Girl with this bio — it wasn't done right. It was just done wrong."

Timbaland also took to Instagram to voice his disapproval of the biopic, which received much criticism before it even aired on account of the makers not receiving approval from Aaliyah's family, nor did they get the rights to use Aaliyah's music in the short film.
