The Weeknd is back!

The Weeknd has released a smooth cover of R. Kelly’s 90’s single ‘Down Low’.

The Canadian singer, who has been relatively quiet since the release of his 2016 album ‘Star Boy’, premiered the slow jam on Drake’s OVO Sound Radio.

“Keep it on the down low, whispering nobody has to know,” he sings.

“We can keep it on the down low, whispering nobody has to know.”

Meanwhile, The Weeknd recently started the second phase of his epic ‘Starboy: Legend Of The Fall Tour’, alongside Gucci Mane and NAV.

The singer will perform across North America, New Zealand and Australia this autumn.

Some fans may see this as a strange time for The Weeknd to be covering an R. Kelly song following his current controversy.

Kelly is under fire after allegedly keeping young women imprisoned in a sex cult at his home.
