The ‘Shut Up’ rapper, who recently made his acting debut in new movie Brotherhood , hasn’t specified why the decision has been made but says the “reasons are out of my control”.

“You know how much I love and enjoy performing so I hope you can envision and understand how substantial the reasons are in order for me to make such a decision,” he said.

The Grime MC plans to reschedule his upcoming show dates as soon as possible.

While the reasons are not known for Stormzy’s surprising decision, he is rumoured to be finishing up his long-awaited debut album.

He recently previewed his upcoming single ‘Cold' on his social media accounts.
