It's arguably the most prestigious music awards ceremony in the world, so why have some of rap and hip-hops most iconic names, including Tupac, Nas and Kendrick Lamar, never taken home a Grammy Award?
Both artists will hit the stage at the awards ceremony.
Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd are among the first performers announced for this year’s Grammys.
K. Dot is this year’s top Grammy nominee, earning an impressive 11 nods – one behind Michael Jackson’s 12 for ‘Thriller’ in 1984.
The rapper is nominated for Album Of The Year for ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ and Song Of The Year for ‘Alright’ among others.
While The Weeknd received seven nominations including Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Can’t Feel My Face’.
Adele and Little Big Town will also perform at the prestigious awards ceremony on 15th February.

The Compton rapper decided against a song from his Grammy nominated album.
