'Forest Hills Drive' refers to the address of Cole's childhood home where he grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina. To celebrate the completion of his new album Cole invited his neighbours to the very house he grew up in, which he recently purchased for $121,000 and also took them to a skating party.
in a video promoting the new album, the 'Born Sinner' rapper is seen returning to the area he grew up in, pondering on life and his relationships.
"There was a time when my happiness depended on how successful I was in my career, but real happiness doesn't come from that" Cole said. "at 29, i'm figuring these things out."
