What a night.

Drake had a huge surprise for fans at his latest ‘Summer Sixteen’ tour date in New York, bringing out J. Cole as a surprise guest.

The ‘One Dance’ singer, who was performing at Madison Square Garden, invited Cole on stage to perform some of his biggest songs and also had some special words for him afterwards.

“He’s really one of the smartest, greatest, most legendary artists our generation, period,” said Drake in front of the sold out crowd.

While on stage, Cole also performed a number of tracks from his latest album ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’ including fan-favourites ‘No Role Modelz’ and ‘A Tale Of 2 Citiez’.

Fan footage also caught Cole performing Jeremih’s single ‘Planes’, which he features on.

Meanwhile, J. Cole recently had fans worried after suggesting that he might retire, on a new song with DJ Khaled.
