Beyonce Confirms Role In Disney’s Live-Action ‘Lion King’ Remake

Queen Bey is set to appear on the big screen.
Beyonce has been announced as one of the lead roles in Disney’s highly-anticipated Lion King remake.
The ‘Lemonade’ singer is set to play the role of iconic lioness Nala, alongside Donald Glover, who will voice the character of lead character Simba.
Beyonce confirmed the huge news on Facebook, ending speculation about her rumoured involvement in the upcoming movie.
Other actors appearing on the star-studded cast-list include Seth Rogan as Pumba the warthog, James Earl Jones as Mufasa and Chiwetel Ejiofor will play villian Scar.
UK comedian John Oliver will play the character of Zazu, who was originally voiced by Rowan Atkinson in the 1994 movie.
Disney’s upcoming Lion King movie will follow in the footsteps of their recent big budget remake of the The Jungle Book.
The movie is set to appear on screens in July 2019 and will be directed by Jon Favreau, who was also responsible for the The Jungle Book movie.
There are also rumours that Beyonce will produce the official soundtrack for the movie.
Meanwhile, Beyonce recently dressed up as Lil Kim for Halloween alongside her JAY-Z, was wearing a The Notorious BIG-themed outfit.
